We are an authorized Part 135 Air Charter Operator, our area mainly covering northern KZN and the Mpumalanga Lowveld.
We transfer guests to and from lodges. We also offer scenic flights over the stunning Maputoland area.
The Charter flights subsidize our Clinic flights, which we perform free of charge, as a calling and a service to the community.

| Since its inception in 1975, ZUMAT's primary function has been to provide a flying service to the Doctors and medical personnel of the area.
We serve 11 clinics in the rural Maputoland area. Each of these clinics fall under the authority of one of the three hospitals in the area.
We fly doctors from the hospitals to the clinics on a weekly basis, where they spend anything from an hour to half a day tending to the medical needs of the community.
Medical specimens are also transferred from the hospitals to the laboratories at Bethesda Hospital, Ubombo.
As it is our main calling, our clinic flying program is done free of charge. Our commercial flights and funding received from various donors subsidizes this part of our operation.
| Since 2006, ZUMAT has been assisting the Department of Health’s Occupational Therapy team by flying children from the area with physical and mental challenges to assessment centres.
Historically the children were transported by road to assessment centers in Vryheid and Cato Ridge, both which require a full day’s travel.
ZUMAT, with funding made available by Discovery Health, has been able to assist in flying these precious kids to their assessments, drastically cutting their journey time, and maximizing the therapist's day and reducing the trauma caused by extended travelling on the kids.
